• The Razer Kiyo V2 and Kiyo V2 X are available now
If you like to move about naturally on camera then you’re going to love this – you can just be yourself and let the Kiyo do the technical work. THE IMAGE
If you’re a content creator looking for a top-notch webcam then rejoice, for Razer is raising the bar with the Kiyo V2, a pro-grade 4K webcam that’s designed to make high-end streaming and video creation effortless. Words Amy Flower THE KIYO TO RAISING YOUR CONTENT GAME
Making you look great on camera is made even easier with handy one-click image enhancement. Automatic exposure, white balance, and noise reduction adjust instantly to a wide range of lighting conditions, be it low light right through to bright - so you appear clear and natural with a minimum of fuss. High Dynamic Range (HDR) adds another layer of polish to your vision, by enhancing contrast and colour depth to deliver richer hues and a more lifelike image. THE ENGINE ROOM
With its ultrawide angle lens, the Kiyo V2 offers added flexibility, like zooming in for close-up shots, or pulling back to show more of your setup. You can also work with uncompressed video encoding, keeping your stream looking the best that it possibly can. Meanwhile, the built-in mic keeps you sounding clean and crisp. THE SOFTWARE All the cool features of the Kiyo V2 come together in Razer’s powerful Synapse software. If you want to get really granular, you can access DSLR-level controls such as ISO and shutter speed, apply AI-powered background blur or even replacement, and add those stream ready overlays, watermarks, or social handles that mark your online territory.
PRIVATE TIME Feel secure when you don’t want the world to see what you’re doing with the Kiyo V2’s integrated privacy shutter. A quick rotation of the rounded part and you can physically see the lens cover twist in, reminding us of the cool James Bond opening credits through the years.
THE BRIEF The Kiyo V2 has been built for creators who want to get on with the job of creating, rather than faffing about continually tweaking settings. It combines powerful hardware with clever AI features to make sure that you always look sharp, well-lit, and perfectly framed. THE CAPTURE At its core is crystal-clear 4K video capture at 30fps, which is powered by a high-performance 8.3 MP Sony STARVIS sensor that delivers sharp detail and expert-level clarity. It doesn’t matter whether you’re streaming gameplay, recording YouTube videos, or even hosting virtual events, the
Kiyo V2 ensures that your image looks the best that it can. THE AI One of the many strings in the Kiyo V2’s bow is
its AI-driven auto-framing, powered by Camo Studio. By using intelligent pan, tilt, and zoom, the camera dynamically keeps you right at the centre of the frame, smoothly tracking the
subtlest movement or biggest reaction.
THE X FACTOR
Are you running on a tight budget and still need a webcam that packs some killer features? Perhaps Razer’s Kiyo V2 X will fit your brief. While looking very similar to its
big sibling the Kiyo V2, its spec sheet sees a few differences. Image-wise, the Kiyo V2 X delivers a maximum 1440p at 60fps. While there’s no AI at play to help you streamline your work,
you can still make adjustments via Razer’s Synapse software. There’s also no HDR support, and the FOV – field of view – is reduced slightly, from 93-degrees to 80-degrees.
