W hen Bring Me the Horizon released That’s the Spirit in 2015, their keyboards player and producer talked about their new sound. “We don’t listen to extreme deathcore anymore,” Jordan Fish revealed. “We SPIRIT WORLD Bring Me the Horizon’s fifth album turns ten and gets the deluxe vinyl treatment.
SPIRIT LEVEL The band made the album at Black Rock Studios in Santorini, Greece. They found the studio by Googling “world’s most amazing studios”.

Check out the arena-rock anthem Drown , which became the British band’s first Top 40 hit in Australia. That’s the Spirit followed singer Oli Sykes’ return from rehab after beating addiction. THE TITLE
That’s the Spirit hit number one in Australia in September 2015. Bring Me the Horizon’s three other Aussie chart toppers: 2010’s There Is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let’s Keep It a Secret , 2013’s Sempiternal and 2019’s Amo .
After returning from rehab, someone said to Oli Sykes, “That’s the spirit.” He thought it was the perfect title for the album. “It’s a celebration of depression, a way of making light of it. It’s quite a depressing phrase when you think about it – the sort of thing you only ever use when you know there’s no positive answer to the situation.”
